9/11 truthers: When did you come to realize that the "Official Story" was a lie?

What exactly was it that caused you to disbelieve the US Government's version of events? (documentary, website, friend) Have you been successful in convincing anyone else of this?

Once the world ended on 01/01/00 I knew I should believe everything conspiracy theorists told me.  So when they started assuring me that al qaeda wasn't really behind 9/11, I knew what to believe.  I wonder if the embassy bombings and cole were inside jobs.....

UPDATE: Though I have little doubt a yale grad is even brighter than Chris above me, he accidentally makes a good point.... Why did such a conniving gov. go through all the effort of doing a 9/11, but not hide a few WMDs in Iraq?  That would have been a heck of a lot easier and saved Bush tons of grief.

Violater: How Plame's being outed kept the insidious administration from planting WMDs in Iraq is beyond me, but feel free to believe it had an impact.  8 years later I'm still waiting for a conspiracy theorists to explain how they got Y2K so wrong.  Maybe you'd like to take a stab at it?  Also do you think the embassy bombings and cole bombing were also inside jobs?

The moment I heard about that 'coincidental' hijacking exercise blamed for downing the entire US air defence system - exact same day, same time, same scenario - I knew there either had to be a very high level leak, or complicity... but Oops!, that wasn't worth investigating was it?

That was the moment the 'official version' started to fall apart - then Condi Rice made her excuse that no-one envisaged this scenario unfolding... when they were actually role playing that same scenario the very same day!!  ... so now I'm getting sceptical... I don't like obvious lies.

Would anyone expect me to accept that the USAF couldn't take on the combined might of the Russian and Chinese air forces, IFF thousands of hostile aircraft at the same time... and combat them - but they couldn't deal with a tiny number of airliners... get real, how completely absurd is that (and they were supposed to be practising this exact scenario for Gods sake!).

The WTC7 demolition wasn't worth serious investigation either, nor was the OBVIOUS disparity between the Pentagon attack and the WTC attacks... two aircraft produce massive explosions and bring down enormous buildings - the other apparently goes off like a damp f**t in comparison, without even scorching the Pentagon grass... really! - why?

The same thing happened on 7/7... this is also public knowledge: an EXACT same exercise (run by a company with Guiliani on the board of directors!), same stations, same times, same scenarios AGAIN.. and these idiots want to attribute it to coincidence?  Laughable - how many single digit IQ people are out there who'll believe whatever they are told despite THE FACTS?

Look at these smug 'anti-conspiracy' answers - some people can't even see the obvious.  

Rossonero - why do you think Valery Plame was outed?  Don't you realise that BLEW the entire middle eastern anti-WMD operation for the CIA... and the front company involved.  Explain why the American government would do that - something to do with her husband, or to do with the CIA team intercepting the goodies destined to 'stitch up Iraq'?!

Yes, pretty much everyone started off accepting the official story but more and more people have come to realise it is a fraud... so all 911 truthers are converts and we are in a big majority in the rest of the world, in New York - I suspect within the USA now as well.

One thing is for sure... once people question the official position they once accepted they NEVER turn back.  Which explains why the 'truthers' will continue to grow and the gullible number decreases every day.

A friend called me and asked if I had heard about terrorists flying a plane into a building in NYC. I had not. I told her right there and then before watching anything on TV it was the bad guys, Little George or someone who were responsible and a set up and the so called terrorists were patsies. A few moments later I turned on the TV dreading to see the BS I knew I was going to see. I knew instantly the planes had been flown by remote control, and a big bunch of BS was in the process of be laid on us. Somewhere in the mess another plane hit a building. It was about then that I made up my mind I was going to save every clue and prove this was a massive con being laid on us.

Today I reviewed an article I wrote 9-11-01. My memory is not exactly as I wrote back then, but pretty close. In it I said the planes may have been flown by remote control. I still may have realized it instantly. Clues. Planes honing in on a target. Did not look as if they were under pilot control. Ect. I grew up in the retail gasoline business and I had been writing about Flt. 800 and other suspicious plane crashes for a while so the size of the explosion was way way too great, like a nuclear explosion more than plane fuel exploding. http://www.randycrow.com/articles/091301... When I saw the 2nd Tower light up, without any defense at all, it started to smell. When I saw pictures of "W", in an elementary school reading a book about a goat, when he should be long gone, and he's still sitting there, with a dumb look on his face, it really kicked off a stinch! Even the Dumbest guy in the world would have known to haul ***, "unless", he knew the "Fix", was in, and nobody was coming for him, because he was in with the planners of the project! It was an inside job, there is just no other way to explain it. This has nothing to do with the Left or the Right wings of America. This has to do with ALL Americans.

Day 1. Those buildings were brought down demolition style and why would hijackers fly directly over Indian Point to go 15 minutes further on for a lesser effect of attack? The Pentagon and plane over PA stories were also very odd from the very beginning.

Well, at first I was watching this snippet of Zeigeist when they were talking about Jesus and religion in general (which is pretty much my quest at that time) and then I stumbled upon the rest of it...

You must realise... I am from Malaysia (which is in South East Asia) and I saw the Twin Towers coming down at night on CNN. At first I thought it was a movie, until my mom told me it isn't. It sparked an obsession with me... I watched CNN day and night practically for the whole month, into Iraq and all, looking for updates into the situation. Which is why everything clicked into place when I watched Zeitgeist. Also, being in a Muslim country has given me an alternative view on the entire matter being that they show the brutality of the American army in Iraq.

Yeah, so it makes a lot of sense. I don't understand why some people find it so hard to believe.

Great question. I recognized that 911 was fake from the onset. So I've been down the rabbit hole for a while now.

I have seen how the language, images and messages have changed and been manipulated to incorporate this lie into the American lexicon. It's like a mental disease, that WAS slowly eating away at what reality is, into what THEY say it is. A very 1984-Wonderland concept. So now I know what side politicians are on when I hear how they refer to 911. Invasion of the Mind Snatchers or the Stepford Citizens, Matrix type images come to my mind. People have to be deprogrammed about 911.

The way Bush sat there in that classroom will forever be the image I remember this president. The way he looked when he got that message in his ear, should be frozen in the minds of Americans forever. That is the exact moment I knew, "something is up".  For some strange reason a scene from the movie "Dead Zone" popped in my head. I felt what Christopher Walken felt when he shook Martin Sheen's characters hand. I saw a glimpse of what has unfolded since, and still we've only scratched the surface. The forces at work on the 911 job and future enterprises are in the business of manipulating the reality of the masses. They count on knee-jerk, emotional reactions. These "people" have very little regard for the common man, period. Black, white, polka dot doesn't matter. What matters is maintaining control of HOW you process information. Controlling the intake. 911 was not the first time this inside job concept has been used. Cicero used in ancient Rome, n***s used it with Reichstag fire, and the US has used it several times, including the Boston Tea Party. It's a diversive tactic. Make it look like someone else did it so you can "retaliate" the way you want without blame or suspicion.

But nothing wrecks a solid plan like arrogance and stupidity. The Bush administration is overflowing with both.

The 911 truth people shouldn't have figured it out for years. Bush and criminal cronies should have been long gone before a sniff of what really happened began to surface.

But arrogance and stupidity pooped all over the 911 hoax.

Yes, there are people still connected to the matrix. And there are people who still think the earth is flat, somewhere out there. Maybe.

My last nuggets are for the few who may have known about 911 before it was 911. The people who knew to buy put options on the airlines, just days before.  Google  A.B.  "Buzzy" Krongard. Following the money will tell you who is behind 911 or at least pull the thread and see to what it is connected. I also believe some executive secretaries or lovers may have had a peek before it went down and cost them their lives, like the death of a recent Washington Madame or let's go back further to the death of Joe Scarborough's aide Lori Klausutis. She mysteriously died while reading something on her bosses computer. Wonder what that was?  Check out the circumstances of that case. How does a guy have an unexplained death so close to him and yet get a tv show?

Revisit that Chandra Levy case, the missing girl that was in an affair with Gary Condit remember just before 911 it was the story of that summer. What few remember is that Gary Condit was a senior member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Guess who would have had heard at least rumors about something coming like 911 before the fact? Her last e-mail to her aunt was she had something BIG to tell her. Marriage? pregnancy? something pertinent to Jews? The Mossad hands aren't clean either. They've used young jewish women to saddle up with the congressman and senators and "juice' them for info in the past. Anything going on in the middle east will get their attention. They've used agents that pass for Arabs on several occasions to get the desired effect.

The point is there is more evidence that supports the truthers than the deniers. 10 to 1 no contest.

I appreciate 911deniers for one thing, it has help me wake up and see how easy it is for your neighbor to be fooled and falsely motivated to kill, depending on how brown the target of their hate is and what they are standing on  that can fuel our American lifestyle. Very simple equation once you eliminate the phony patriotism.

I came to realize that there was something wrong with the story when I was in Iraq in 2003 and people were sending me letters saying that it was all for the oil. Then one day when when received the internet, ( AN EXTREMELY SLOW CONNECTION), my cousin sent me and email with the details of the pentagon attack. It showed the original whole, the untouched lawn, no marks as to where the wings and engines should have struck, no real parts, nothing except a noise cone and landing gear. Everything else that penetrated the for or so sections of the building melted, but the bodies were found. Later, the roof was broken open with cranes and that is the picture that is normally shown these days. It shook me, but the being around the military with only the Stars and Strips and other soldiers and bombs going off every where, I forgotten all about this until I had left Iraq. I felt weird because something just never seemed right about anything anymore. I heard some people talking about 9-11, religion, and many other things. I told them how I felt that nothing was right and I wanted to find out the truth, but I didn't know where to start. They pointed me in the right direction and when I began to see many of the details of 9-11, I was really shocked, but the disbelief soon disappeared and now I will never believe any of the lies presented as the truth about 9-11. I stopped trying to tell people the truth because that can get really sticky. I only talk to people of like minds on 9-11.

Immediately. Jet fuel is purified kerosene. You can't burn down skyscrapers by throwing kerosene at them. Next, another building a block away falls down for no discernible reason, and then they all fall down perfectly straight. Then Guiliani walks out of a different building, (babbling something about an underground passage ). I've not tried to convince anyone, because it's so obvious, I shouldn't need to.

I'm not sure when it was , uh....sometime early this year.  A little late... but I know now.  

I was critical at first.  Believe it or not, I hadn't heard much from the truth movement before this year... and so I had not really questioned the "official version".  Although I did think the twin towers falling the way they did seemed like a demolition.  I thought it looked strange, but sadly it didn't occur to me we were being lied to.  Not until recently.

And now after I've research the 9/11 events, the past 7 years of legislation and the failing economy.... well it all seems to add up.  

I came across the "conspiracy theories" online.  I'm a curious and open-minded person and I researched the available information online and come to find that the "truthers" side made more sense than the so-called "official version" farce.

Yes, I have been successful at convincing someone else.

When I watched the news change it's story 5-6 times during the day of and when I watched Bush lie about Iraq as a result.  Then I found out the Patriot act had 3 names prior to this and was attempted to pass and failed, every other time was immediatly following some sort of horrific event.

Like a few hundred million other people, I bought the government's official fairy tale at first.   In the aftermath, I was so profoundly affected by the imagery of the towers coming down, and the constant mention of the threat of terrorism by the government and the media, that I didn't notice the many things that didn't make sense from the get-go.

I'm not ashamed to admit that the politics of fear and patriotism worked on me, like it did for millions of others.

It was the Bush administration's reluctance to get on with an investigation that made me suspicious.  The investigation should have been called immediately, not some 400 days after the fact.  When I first heard that Henry Kissinger ("Mr. Cover-up" himself) had been named Chairman of the Commission, I knew instantly the government had something to hide.

After being dismissed from school early on that Tuesday, I went to my grandparents home, watched President Bush's speech, via ABC, from that elementary school in Florida, and turned to my grandpa and said, "He knows something."  There was no remorse on Bush's countenance nor was there any in his voice.

That showed that what was being claimed was the truth about what happened wasn't really the truth of the matter. There is more than enough to give serious reasonable doubts about the official story.

h**l I was even  telling  people back when OKC bombing happened to expect an even greater 'event' to happen. When it hit on sept. 11th I didn't even stop working, i was like 'what took them so long?'

Nothings shocking to me anymore.

and when i economy collapses, or when nuclear evnts in the middle east take place, or whne we start world war three over the supposed last piece of 'oil' pie is reached, or when another terrorist attack happens and gives way to a national state of emergency or martial law - i will not be surprised.

This was not an inside job. The goal here is to subvert our constitution which is the greatest threat to international socialism. there fore it is international forces that want the sovernty of our nation destroyed.
