  1. I don't know why people are too blind to see the truth.  There is so much evidence saying that the United States' own government was responsible for 9/11.  It seems like you got some of the information from the move Zeitgeist.  There isn't any doubt in my mind that the US' own government is responsible for 9/11.  I don't think all americans believe that terrorists are responsible for 9/11.

  2. And let the parade of gullible fools begin...

Sorry asker, you will probably get a dozen or so answerers calling you crazy and referencing tin foil hats.  I've been there and done that.

Sad thing is that most of them have no idea what they are talking about.  That's why their posts have no meat to them.

Just remember that you are being patriotic by staying informed.  That is what America needs right now more than anything:  informed citizens.

But to directly answer your question, I think it is because they are not ready emotionally to allow themselves to think that their government let them down, or worse, hurt them.  It is much easier to stay ignorant and make fun of those who think for themselves.  Laziness is probably also a factor.

  3. Evidence does not equal proof.

And every theory about it being an inside job has been debunked.

  4. Making stuff up does not constitute evidence. It is intellectually lazy to adhere to simplistic conspiracies to explain what, for a time, may be inexplicable. That fallacy is called "argument from ignorance." Also, any evidence presented against the conspiracy is simply dismissed by the theorists as "part of the conspiracy too," which makes their position non-falsifiable. Therefore, conspiracy theorists' "arguments" are essentially dead on arrival.

This doesn't even get into how much faith conspiracy theorists put in "the government's" intelligence. It amazes me. Granted, I am completely aware of government's stupidity when it comes to foreign and domestic issues. However, they talk about "the government" as if it is some abstract, omniscient, omnipotent entity out in space, when in reality, it's just a bunch of guys.

Just observe the horrible planning the government has in their domestic issues. In the 1980s, the government wasn't even able to plan successful agricultural growth compared to other countries (even Third World ones). In foreign issues, "the government" wasn't able to keep secret all the "Black Ops" the CIA took part in. Everybody knew it.

Simply put, you grossly overestimate the power and intelligence of "the government."

  5. No, its just that bush is not a good president. When he came into office, the nation was in good shape. For the next 8 years after that, we have suffered rising gas prices, trillions of dollars of national debt, an unnecessary war, terrorist attacks, and not to mention the fact that everyone hates us now. No, its not a conspiracy, its just plain stupidity, and its all our fault, for electing this moron.

  6. Actually there is not as much 'evidence' as you think.  It is all speculation and leading questions.

In fact until you guys can explain how the WTC could have been imploded without any of the building occupants noticing the multiple tons of explosives and without any of the audio or visual signatures of HE - I will continue to regard you as just a bunch of losers.

  7. Your fun word of the day "Conpriacy." WHAT!

  8. It is nice to see other people see the evidence but people will ignore it so they can sleep at night without being paranoid. Also you forgot to mention about the Pentagon that was clearly hit with a missle.

  9. They don't want to see it.  People in general are much happier being ignorant of the facts...

  10. The people who believe this nonsense are simply nuts.

  11. Because-- your wrong.

The "EVIDENCE" is lies--misquotes and propaganda.

The discovery channel and Popular Mechanics have debunked these--conspiracies.

So what do the conspiracy nuts do--they revise their original statement and try to bring up some other part of their conspiracy.

They refine it over and over again---until it becomes tiresome to just keep debunking it.

But--google the popular mechanics article--it might be Popular science--and it takes on the most common conspiracies from a few years ago.

  12. It's actually an erratic and irrational conspiracy theory.

I think what Bush and Cheney are covering up is the fact that they were extremely incompetent that day.

  13. There is absolutely no evidence.  All the truthers have is conjecture (and foil hats)

  14. "The great masses of the people will more easily fall victim to a big lie than to a small one".

the fact that Scott McClellan was given the nickname the Matrix by the Defense Department is no surprise. In the movie The Matrix, the computer program was there to make people believe they were living in a real world when in reality they were slaves to a machine, well look at the obvious. We are in a war that we can't win because there is no aparent enemy, terrorism is not an enemy. Everyday the government says whats going right in Iraq, but why don't they ever tell us whats going wrong? We will only know the truth about what happened today 50 years from now when all the classified government records are released to the public. All we can do now is have faith that we collectively as Americans have learned from our mistakes and will elect leaders that will change the course. It sucks that we cant do more,

oh and by the way, it was Adolf Hitler who said that quote at the beginning, and now we look back and understand why the Germans did what they did, because they believed their leader and never thought that he would lead them down the wrong path, how they were wrong, and how sad that we didnt learn from others mistakes and will one day be viewed as the weak Germans who didnt fight against their tryant leader.

  15. There are too many questions the conspiracy theorist don't answer.
