My little girl will be 9 months old on the 20th of this month and she hasn't gotten her first tooth nor has she showed any signs/symptoms of getting it. Is this normal?? She has a pedi. appt. next week, but I am just curious in the mean time.

  1. she's fine; all are diff, mine got her first today and she turned eleven weeks today; needless to say she can't even hold a teether properly, so wow! don't we have our work cut out for us?!LOL

  2. Some babies can take up to 12 months before they start getting teeth.

  3. yes she is fine. My youngest daughter got her first 2 teeth when she was just 16 weeks and now she is 9 month she has 8 teeth. On the other hand my eldest daughter didn't get her first tooth until she was 11 month! My mum told me i didn't have any teeth until i was 2 yrs old lol. She will get her first one soon don't worry and if you are still worried ask your doc next time you see him.

    Good luck x

  4. All children are different. Don't worry about it, I didn't get my 1st tooth until I was 13 months old, haha.

  5. my first daughter was a little past 9 months when she got her first tooth and she showed no signs of getting one it just came up one day. she never cried with her teeth or anything i was very lucky
