9 puppys are large litter? for siberian huskys ?

Hi there please first no Mr nasty on here i don't want your answers! ,, I have Siberian huskies and had them for 4years and had one before them to, well my girl gave birth 6weeks ago and had a litter of nine siberian husky pups ,, my question is dose anyone else no of a 100% pedigree siberian husky having a litter of Nine? As i never have they surly have 6 even my vet said 5/6 when he scanned her. All the puppy's are well and so is mum i had to hand rere 2 but was just wondering as ive had huskies for over 11years and never known such a large litter?? so that's my question No time wasters answers please. thanks x

  1. Well, I had a german shepherd who gave birth to nine healthy puppies. And huskys and shepherds are the same size and shape. So I wouldn't say you have a world record on your hands.


  2. average litter is 6-8 so its ot that too far out of range. they arrive at averages by highs and lows... so obviously others have had that large of litter before. record is 14, if this site is correct

    ADD: I've seen litters of 9 puppies before. Thankfully, none of mine.
