9 week old kitten peeing on all of my things! Help?

I got a kitten about 3 weeks ago. She was not potty trained. We have been working really hard to potty train her, but she isn't catching on. She makes it to the litter about 7 out of 10 times, but those 3 times she doesn't make it, she pees in corners, on clothing, or our bed!!!

What weve tried:

1)Keeping her in one room during the day where her clean litter box, toys and food and water are.

Result: She pees in the litter.

2) We put her in the litter box multiple times a day.

Result: She goes when you put her in the box.

We keep the litter super clean and she seems to know where the boxes are because she will go on her own, like I said about 7 out of 10 times.

Any suggestions???

I'm at my wits end.

  1. make sure the box is small enough that she can get over the sides easily.  For every new kitten that I've trained to go in a box and I've trained several i always leave a small piece of p**p in the box covered of course but I find that it will let the kitten know where she is supposed to go.  Be sure to put her in the box after she eats

  2. Sometimes getting an extra litter box helps...when I have trained kittens I always start out putting a little dirt in the litter, it seems to draw them to it. It's in an animal nature to use the bathroom outdoors. Right now I have a cat that goes to the door and meows to be let out to use the bathroom and meows when he is ready to come in. We have no litter box for him unless when will be gone all day and then I still mix it with dirt, he is five years old and I have never had a problem with him... Good luck with your new kitten

  3. Try extra litter boxes with different  types of SCOOP ABLE litter.  That is a instinct to a cat almost.  Give her time.  I'm wondering if there is a lot of noise and stress at your home?  That can upset any cat.  Cats are very sensitive.  Yeah try different types of scoop able litter and see if that does not work, then consult you vet they work with behavioral issues as well.  Cats are almost neurotic for their need to feel safe while eliminating so get a few boxes and put them in a corner of the bathroom, laundry room but you need to have at least 2 boxes.
