9 year old Birthday Sleepover?

Are you suppose to give a gift to a 9 year olds birthday sleepover, came on a a regular spiderman hallmark invitation, not sure what the etiquette is for this.

Yea, of course. Unless it says "No gift necessary" or provides other instructions for gifting, a gift is typically expected, especially by the child.

I'm not sure I understand WHY there's a question here.  Why would you not bring a gift to a child's birthday party?  And what is the difference what kind of invitation was sent?

Yes, you generally give a gift at a 9 year old's birthday party.

Yes you should send a gift, unless the invitation gave other specific instructions.  If you are unsure what to get, we always give a gift card to Target, something like $10 is fine, this way the birthday child can pick out what they want.  

If you would prefer to send a wrapped gift instead of a giftcard, call the RSVP number and ask if there is anything specific the child likes.

i would suggest calling a contact number on the invite...

the card, sends off flags to me, "it may be a theme party",

seeing that "you" were invited, it is appropriate to bring a gift for the birthday child...

you may also find out that it is a theme party,

if it is, because a sleepover can run late,

you may want to ask if there is anything that you can do to assist the parent who is having this party.  "this would just add to the fun".....good luck.....

Yes, if it didn't say otherwise, you should be bringing a gift. It's not that hard to shop for a 9 yr old boy, just go to the toy section at Walmart, or any toy store. You should find one easily.
