  1. You should find a theme for the party and stick with it. For example if she is into Hanna Mantana then use that theme. You should also go online and google some good party ideas for the theme that you choose.

  2. My daughter turned 9 a few months ago, and we had a sleepover. We had pizza for dinner, made bracelets and decorated goodie bags for a craft, played games, and watched a movie right around 10pm (Thankfully they fell asleep!) One of the games we played was called "A Murderer Among Us" The way it works is this: get enough slips of paper for every girl, mark one with an D (she's the Detective) one with an M and the rest with a V (murderer and victim). Have the girl who draws the X leave the room, but make sure she can still hear what's going on. In the room where the rest  of the girls are, turn out the lights. Then the murderer will touch one of the victims. The victim will scream and "die" and the detective will come back in the room, turn on the lights, and ask 3 questions to see if she can find the murderer! If she can't figure out who it is with those 3 questions, she leaves the room, and the same thing happens. Now you have 2 "victims" and have narrowed the search! But beware! The answers don't have to be truthful! After all, everyone's a suspect, and most suspects lie! I wasn't thrilled with this game when I first heard about it, but the kids had so much fun, and knew it was fake, so I let them run with idea! They had a ball, and hopefully your daughter will have a blast at whatever party you give her!

  6. Have you thought about renting one of those huge inflatable water slide things. Rent the best one they have they look like alot of fun.

  7. GO GET A BAND

  8. Your daughter could have a sleepover and they could watch movies. Throw a movie themed-party. And make it fun and creative. Like you as the mom could buy those candy boxes (like whoppers, butterfinger, junior mints, etc.) and pretend that your the person who works at the food stand. Also, buying those cute popcorn boxes that are striped red and white would be great to use. Make sure that you buy a roll of tickets so the girls can hand you their ticket that certifies what movie there going to watch like at a real movie theatre. Make it as if they were really going to a movie theatre.

  9. Hello

Mabe you could throw a hawian themed party

like grass skirts and flower necklaces and hold it by your pool

Mabe you could have a mermaid Themed party by the pool

  10. What about a bowling party?  Most bowling alleys "host" them.

Or maybe a pizza & pajama party?

  11. Christy that sounds really cool , I`m wanting to keep it.My daughter is planning a sleepover..Maybe you should have a High School Musical2 theme party , with the pool.,Write on the invitations -For a Faaabulus swim party.Or check with Hawian theme out of the movie.

  12. HOW ABOUT HANNAH MONTANA THATS WHAT ALL THE KIDS LIKE NOW DAYS . HOPE IT HELPS GOOD LUCK YOU CAN GET STUFF AT WALMART AND ORDER IT ONLINE LIKE CUPS,NAPKINS, STICKERS AND PLATES, BALLOONS PINS(BUTTONS) EXC..... JUST PLAY A FEW GAMES OR JUST GIVE THEM LOOT BAGS. AND FOR FOOD JUST SERVE PIZZA ,CHIPS AND SODA AND WELL CAKE AND ICE CREAM OR HAVE A COOKOUT AND HAVE HOT DOGS AND HAMBURGERS OR CHICKEN OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT WITH POTATO SALAD OR MARACCONI SALAD .

GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN TELL BABY GIRL HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

  13. I would go with a luau theme.    Your daughter isn't excited because she has a pool that she can use anytime she wants.   Her friends will love it.

How about hosting it in the evening instead of the afternoon, for a more dramatic effect.   Buy some leis and some grass skirts for the girls to wear.    Light some tiki torches around the pool.    Party City or any party supply has these items.

For food,  how about some fresh fruit.    Pineapple is great, strawberries, grapes, melon balls.    you could rent a chocolate fountain so the girls could dip their fruit.

Sno cone machine.   You can rent a larger machine or buy a smaller version.   The syrups can be found at the grocery store or at a Wal-Mart.

    Fruity drinks with little umbrellas.

    Cold sandwiches.   Chips.

Play limbo.   Any old stick will do or buy an inflatable one.    Get out the lounging mats and pool toys.

For some fun photos, lay an ironing board down and cover with a solid colored beach towel.   Have everyone give their best hang 10 pose.   Give these for souveniers.

  14. My daughter had a slumber/pool party for her 9th birthday party in January...

My suggestion would be to ask her what an ideal party would be....

Maybe shes into arts & crafts, or wants to do a movie?

  15. Super Star/Hannah Montana.. The girls come all dressed up like rock stars, have karaoke, music playing. If boys are coming they can be the Jonas Brothers.  The cake can be Miley/ Just one big star with the birthday girls favorite colors. Decorations could be stars every where, maybe a "red carpet" (that is really a plastic table cloth) as they walk in. On the tables you can have big fake jewels scattered down the middle. The invites can be in the shape of a star and be worded like a Hollywood Party, like "you are invited to the event of the year. The birthday of the one, the only (birthday girls name) is finally turning (age) and you get to be there for it". If you have goodies bag the girls could get little junk jewelry like clip on earrings, bracelets, maybe they could take come jewels from the tables. The boys could get noise makers.
