90 hp Yamaha outboard cuts out above half throttle!?

Question

All carbs seem clean, all 3 plugs clean and firing, idles great. I unplug fuel line, no start. When I plug back in fuel line, starts right up again.

this happened on my boat and it was a blown power pack. me went when I was 30 miles from the dock. I was the slowest ride home i have ever had.
