I found a 91 240sx for $3,000. The body is nice and the underside was coated a year ago. It does have 166,000 miles on it. Is it a good deal, should i buy a new ka for it?

  1. d**n,

Some people don't know what they have. In south-africa it would cost like $7000 give or take a few bucks. Exhaust leak is the least of any problem. Does not take much to fix. Because of prices here, If you give me the guys number, I would speak too him for you.. (and take the car before you) LOL.

    Just joking.

    Nissan is my favorite car.

  2. that is too much for a 91 they have the sohc ka's and there are worthless. if you get the car from this person you should offer 2000 give or take a hundred.

as for motors. i would go with a sr if you have the money to mod the car alot. if not just swap in a dohc ka and turbo it when you have the money.

  3. Off the top, that exhaust leak can be costly depending on where the leak is. AC compressor is not a big issue. What about The shell (the body) if its in good condition and you know your way around a car, then it may not be a bad deal, I would only put 2500 on the table. If that's not good enough then find something else.

  4. Sounds good to me. I wouldn't get a new motor though the KA should be good for quite a bit more, just keep an eye out for any engine related problems.

  5. IF there is MINOR engine damage such as the ac and other small details... its an ok deal but you could drop the price down a couple of hundred. If the car has ALOT of engine problems, the "shell" should cost no more than $1,200! Hope this helps and your are gettin one of the best cars to modify!

  6. if they lower to 2000, maybe 2500, then yes.
