91 accord Check Engine Light????

Question

I'm looking at buying a 91 accord but the CEL is on. The guy I'm about to buy it from said it went on after he put the aftermarket headers on so I'm thinking its an O2 sensor or a cat or something..... Anyone have any other ideas?

Check engine lights are almost always emission related. If it doesn't miss, he is probably right

Have a shop tell you what check engine light you are throwing. Every car is different but I had test pipes, intake manifold, and true dual exhaust on my 350z and didn't throw an engine check light until I put my supercharger on. Now I'm throwing random misfires.

Since he put aftermarket headers on it would probably be the oxygen sensors.

Take it to autozone and have them test the sensors if you r really interested in buying it.
