91 chevy corsica sterio install?

Question

i recently recieved a chevy corsica and it came with a cd player that i could install. the wiring in the dash AND on the hu have been cut, however the hu does have a diagram on the back. i dont however know what the colors are for the the car and am yet to get a daigram. i was able to get some power running to it when the car was turned to on, but it would only display the time and eject cds, nothing else. if the car was all the way in the off position nothing would work at all. can someone please help me figure out how to get this thing going. also maybe explain the importance of certain wires, thanx.

you need two power wires (constant and switched), the constant keeps all of your setting on the radio like the time, and the switched tell the radio to turn on

if you have them switched or not using both of them, that when you run into the problem you are having

Constant 12V+ Orange  

Switched 12V+ Yellow  

Ground Black  

Illumination Gray  

Dimmer Brown  

Antenna Trigger Pink  

Antenna Right Front  

Front Speakers 4" x 6" Kick Panels

Left Front (+) Tan  

Left Front (-) Gray  

Right Front (+) Light Green  

Right Front (-) Dark Green  

Rear Speakers 6" x 9" Rear Deck

Left Rear (+) Brown  

Left Rear (-) Yellow  

Right Rear (+) Dark Blue
