91 chevy radio?

my friend has a 91 chevy pickup and it has the radio seperate from the other tape part and i got color codes and connections from installdoctor.com and they dont match the colos that are in the radio can someone please just give a list of what each color is and what it goes

You will need these parts: metra 70-1858,metra 40-gm 10,and a dash kit in the correct color 99-3000 or 99-3000b(blue) and an optional pocket 88-00-3301

The colors from installdoctor should be right.

This is a three part radio system. The controller in dash, the receiver/amp module located above the gas pedal, and the tape deck. The wires you want to connect to are at the module above the gas pedal.
