91 mitsubishi montero 3.0 v6 electrical and engine troubleshoot questions

Question

I need to know if anyone knows reasons why I am not getting any fire to the disributor?

ignition module, or distributor cap is first in my mind if nothing obvious like a dead battery.  If timing is an issue, careful indexing that distributor.  

It could be an emissions component /sensor, as well or  bad tuneup (i.e. wires w/o continuity, rotor button, ---strike that---pre distributor spark....distributor, cap, coil.... or even the distributor/pickup coil optic failure, wiring, bad karma, etc...
