  1. Assuming your agency has a quality training program you'll be in training for several months before you are released on your own.  It will be hard and there may be days you tell yourself you can't do it.  And that's normal for a lot of trainees.  Just stay positive and keep trying your hardest.

The job has drawbacks, but can be very rewarding and fullfilling.

    Good Luck!

  2. It is tough at times, and there is a lot of negativity that you have to deal with, but just do your job to the best of your ability and you will be fine. You need to prioritize your calls beginning with the most important, and you really need to know how to multi-task as best as possible. Bring lots of aspirin, and energy drinks!!!

Best of luck!!! I'm sure you will be fine!!!

  3. my aunt was a 911 dispatcher before and she says they always lack sleep coz they should be alert and quick for almost every hour and day
