Question:

92 Honda Accord..blinking D4 light?

I bought a used 92 Honda Accord. Occasionally (and usually at the worst possible time) It just won't turn over, it tries and tries but just doesn't seem to have that final spark to kick in/over. The one huge coincidence is that the green D4 light on the gearshift display on the dashboard is blinking...once it stops blinking ( whenever it finally feels like doing so) the car starts right up...any ideas?

  1. 2000 honda accord, check engine light on..D4 light blinking, but has now stopped, afraid to drive car any distance.what do i need to look for...had tranny rebuilt about a year ago....thanks, Judy

  2. The no start thing could very likley be a main efi relay.  It usually happen when the car is warm or on hot days I would replace teh relay.  It is located under the dash on the drivers side approx in the middle.

  3. I had a dead battery and when I jumped it it flashed the d4 light.  after I restarted it a coulple times it stoped flashing I think the flashing is sometimes electrical and linked but havent had it flash since. My thought is solve the 1st problem some type of electrical computer thing and later the d4 if it persists it may be flashing from an electrical issue.
