Question:

92R Parachute Rigger?

I am trying to find out where they go for AIT, I know its Ft Lee, VA but I cannot find anything specific on any official webpage

  1. What branch of the service are you talking about???  If it is the Navy then you will go to Memphis  for class "A" school then out to the fleet.  My son followed this path in 1992.

  3. I have a few friends that are riggers. It's the only MOS where you must complete airborne school at ft benning,ga before ait training. AIT i believe is about 12 weeks. The area outside of Ft Lee is pretty nice,Richmond,VA, there is a King's Dominion theme park located less than 30 mins outside of post. Also after AIT look forward to being stuck at Ft Bragg,NC for the rest of your military career. Also chances of you deploying as a rigger is slim to none.
