\Where can I buy solar panels for my home?

Here in California, we get a lot of sunlight year round so I am looking to install solar panels at home to save some energy. Where do I start looking? Are there stores that sell them? What type should I get (or rather, what types are there)?

What would be a good price range? And lastly, how much energy would it really save? Thanks for any help!

  1. solar panels - http://www.saveonshop.com/shop.php?k=sol...

  2. If you're interested in doing some research online, here's a listing of SRCC (Solar Ratings and Certification Corporation) rated solar panels: http://greenhome.huddler.com/products/ca...

A lot of manufacturers retail online or they can direct you to solar vendors/installers in your area.  If you are in California, you might also be interested in SolarCity (although I'm not quite sure which panels they work with).

Price range and energy savings depends on how many panels (square footage) you plan on using and of course how much energy you currently consume.

Here is a wiki about the financial considerations of solar panels: http://greenhome.huddler.com/wiki/why-so...
