  1. I am about 95% sure it is the Idle air comtrol valve (IAC) causing this.

    2 things to check.

1st check to see if your coolant is full. If it is not full it may cause the variable idle. (rev up to 1600 then back down to 700rpm).

If the coolant is not low then you need to replace the idle air control valve. It is located on the backside of the intake manifold. Inbetween the fire wall and the engine.

    Removal consists of :

disconnecting two 3/8 coolant hoses from the bottom side of the valve, and removing two ten mm bolts.

Once removed installation is reverse. Be sure to add coolant as it will pour out once the lines are removed from the IAC valve.

Also instead of replacing the IAC it may be possible to clean it out with carb spray. Clean out the part that has a mesh screen, not the part that has coolant in it.

Those are a couple options. I wish you well and keep on asking.

  2. thats how mine was for a while, itll go away. just may need to adjust your idle settings http://www.team-integra.net/sections/art...

join the site. its just warming up. thats how mine was after i did a rebuild and didnt use it for 2-3 months

  3. check all the vaccuum hoses on the motor.. most likely near the intake manifold.. are they loose? if so then plug them back in.. check for leaks.. look for any pipes that are open.. if all looks good then you might have to adjust your tps sensor.. www.honda-tech.com. youll find me there

  4. it could also mean that the injectors are a little dirty so the fuel pump is trying to regulate how much to put in...so it runs rich then lean rich the lean....thats why it revs high then low....mine only does it when i switch out my ecu...one ecu is for racing and the other is for daily driving...thas why it revs high and low when i switch it to the racing ecu...
