  1. If you want to replace the head gaskets and do any maintenance the  vehicle may need you can make a considerable amount of money fixing the car and re-selling it. I don't think it would cost as much as people have given you estimates for.

    Gasket set: $285.99

    Bolt set: $45

    Alternator: $186.99

You're looking at less than $550 in parts...

    Good luck

  2. honda are car that young ppl look fore

alt  easy to do. cost rebuild about 145 to 175 .00 $

head gaskit about 400 buck w labor here

    175 + 400 + 300 + 350  round off to 1500.00$

  3. Head gasket $900 est

    Alt+belts $300 est

    selling car for $350

    $1550.

  4. There's very little chance that head gaskets are all that's bad. Unless you can do the work yourself, you're probably going to wind up pouring a lot of money into that car without knowing what's next.

  5. first guy is right now your over 1550 bucks you can buy them for that

  6. Some friend... Run and don't look back! Replacing the head gaskets, you will need a head gasket kit $150.00, replacing the heads will cost you $300.00 a piece (there's two of them,) and then a days labor, about $800.00.

All together $1900.00, is it worth it?

  7. No, I bought one ot those earlier this year for less than that and the guy didn't even have the decency to tell me about the head.  Once I found out it was going to cost £800 to have it fixed, I cut my losses and scrapped the car.

For that year, some Accords were made by Honda and some were made by Rover.  Needless to say, all the ones made by Rover were cr@p.

Anyway, there is no such thing as a cheap car.  Spend a minimum of a couple of grand and get something reliable.
