I recently swapped a f22b1 engine into my 95(manual) accord stock.I used my stock engine harness and I used ecu from a vtec automatic engine. My check engine light does not come on.Also none of the fuel injectors are working. But I am getting spark.(Everything else inside the car works and I can hear the fuel pump turn on when I turn the key)Everytime I try to turn it on it sounds like its chocking or something and it smells like gas.Does anyone have any ideas????Thanks

  1. I believe you need the ECU from a manual.  The auto ECU is expecting some signals from the transmission that it is not getting and  may be cutting off the fuel injectors.

Pull the injectors and spray engine start into the holes.  This will tell you if it is a fuel problem, timing or spark.

  2. useing the automatic ECU probably isn't good for the car...also check the timing...it may be off just enough so that it wont start.  also check the order of the spark plug wires so that the go off when they have to.  also make sure all the electronics are hooked up correctly...good luck

  3. yea u should first try swappping the ecu with a manual one and go from there.

  4. check if the fuel is getting to the injectors...open the fuel rail to see if fuel is in the rail...if it is then injectors could be bad...you could also just put in your regular ecu in to see if it willl start up....the non vtec ecu will still allow to car to run but when vtec is supposed to kick in the check engine light will flash....also check your timing...use a timing gun to check your mark or the old fashion way by setting the crank at tdc (top dead center) and check to see if the rotor inside the distributor is at the number one cylinder firing pin....
