I have a 1995 ford F-350 that had a straight tape player in it. I want to replace it with a OEM cd player. I bought the Cd player off the internet but the plugs are different, I was told that the Cd player came out of a 1994. I looked up the plug diagram on the internet and it says that the plugs for this CD player are a amplifire plug and the standard plug. my question is can you buy an adapter that will take it from the 2 plugs in the truck( long gray and long black) to the type of plugs that are on the Cd player. this website shows the plugs.

the first set of plugs are the type that are in my truck now and the second set are on the back of the Cd player. can anyone help me.

  1. Yes they should make an adapter that will go from your stock plugs to your new deck. I would look them up for you but you didnt mention what kind of deck it is. You should have no problem finding an adapter for a oem stereo. Any electronics store that sells car audio shoud have it or be able to get it. You could also try www.crutchfield.com, they have a large selection of wiring harnesses and adapters.
