Question:

96 Crown Victoria (or any) shift linkage problem?

Indicator is in Park, transmission in Reverse. Indicator in Drive, transmission in Neutral. I assume there is a worn out bushing in the linkage?

Also, around 50 MPH there is a sudden vibration that lasts maybe 2 seconds, stops as sudden as it starts. Scratching my head on that one.

  1. Indicator you mean the actual shift lever? Or indicator as the red light or dot to show what gear you're in?..

    If it's just the indicator (light) then it's off in the instrument cluster.. shouldn't be a transmission problem
