96 Nissan Maxima - Fuel Pump question..?

Question

How hard is it to replace the fuel pump on this car, and what tools will I need?

I can't afford a 3-500 dollar labor bill....I am by NO MEANS a mechanic..But I think I am going to have to try this on my own.

Help plz!

It would be nice to have some answers before I gave you advise, like when you turn the key to the run position does the fuel pump make noise? and if it does have you tried replacing  the fuel filter if not what are the symptoms so I can make educated guess not dart broad throwing ones.

you have to remove the back seat to access the fuel pump. disconnect the battery before disconnecting the wires. this procedure is easily found in the haynes manual
