There has been a short on my temperature control panel where it would be banged to come back on to see what my temp settings were in the car and then the A/C went but that panel still works at times after being hit of course and was told it was a compressor but the compressor was changed and it is not working but is if connected straight to battery so I am just wondering if the 1st compressor is fine and its all wiring or if that compressor would have been fried from this issue. Thankyou! Please Help!

  1. i think you need to take the car to a professional and have them find out exactly why you are not getting power to your temp control panel. and then when you have that prob fixed have someone change out the compressor's and see if the old one works. good luck!

  2. let me get this straight, you went and had the compressor changed because some mechanic said it needed changing.  I would suggest you get a wiring schematic and trace the wiring back through the dash and out to the compressor and fix it.

  3. The temp panel only turns the compressor on and off. It send a signal to a relay and the relay turns on the compressor. So no the temp control panel did not fry the compressor. Replace the temp. panel.
