The fuses are all good. The drivers side and rear passenger would not go down. Then the other 2. Sunroof works fine.

  1. You need a new auto window switch. If you fix it yourself, buy the part from the dealer or have them fix it for you.

  2. had a 98 Jetta. First the windows wouldn't go down, then it wouldn't start bc the seat belt had to be clicked into the door in order for it to start. It WAS clicked in, but it didn't register. Then the power seats would adjust themselves. My moonroof got stuck open and the gas gauge would read empty then full...the computer went bezerk. I had a VW guru use copper paste on all the electrical connections. Worked great for about a year. Good luck!

  3. Check the fuses....

  4. ide take off the door panels and check for lose wiring looks like no power going to motors

  5. Bad news: it's the window regulators.

Good news: Volkswagen did a recall on all of them for your year Passat.

All you have to do is take it to the dealership and it's a free repair.

PS: If your car ever gets stuck in PARK, that's also a recall repair.

  6. aww im so sorry.. poor little  vw... i have a 72 beetle that i love!
