I don't have all of your question, but I am going on the asumption that this car has a 2.0 liter 4 cyl. engine.  If it does, try unplugging the map sensor and see if the car will idle then.  If it does then the map sensor needs replaced.  If I had more info like mileage, engine size, etc.  I could give you more items to look at.  Hope this helps.
