98 jetta has a loud creaking noise only when i turn a corner

my mechanic looked it over but couldnt find anything loose or broken in the front end. The sound is very concerning because its very loud.

  1. your springs/coils are going out so in other words your suspension is most likely SHOT and you might need to take a look at your shock towers
