I used it last time for about 30 min. then stopped for about 1 hr. when I started the car again, I then turned the AC k**b to Max, but all I heard was a "pssss" as a residue when you turn off the AC, it might have been when I turned it off, but thats all that it would do, no compressor coming on or fan/blower nothing. The relays on the engine compartment look fine, but my local parts stores don't have them. It has two, one for the AC and one for the AC clutch, Im trying to replace them both. Is there something else I should be checking before ordering these from my dealer? I've never had any previous problms with it, it was blowing cold air all the time. Thanks for your sugestions.

  1. Check to see if the fuse is blown. Most cars have all the A/C and blower controls on one main fuse.

  2. Only thing in common with the heater, A/C is the fan, pull the 3 screws out of the fan motor on the firewall and pull it straight out, unplug it, and set it on the top of the engine put two wires from the battery to the plug and see if it turns, this is after you ck the fan relay and fuse. This will narrow down your problem, if it is the fan motor, the squirrel cage and rubber hose don't come with the new one, make sure to take the new one out of the box and make sure all the parts from the old one are transferred.
