99 ford f-150 5.4 L question please help.

Question

I have a 99 f-150 5.4L craziest thing i cant figure out. crank it up 6am or 6 pm it will skip horribly for 10 or so miles then quit skipping for the rest of the day. i can crank it up in the morning and it will skip all the way to work but if i drive it at lunch never skips or if i don'tt drive it until i get off work still no skip but the next day starts all over again.

Sorry but you really need to clearly define what exactly is happening and exactly what you are considering skipping.

your skipping would it be called missing instead?

those trucks have issues with coil packs breaking down and recommend a scan to find out for sure

Mileage? Ever had spark plugs installed? Either that or COP ( Coil On Plug) and possiable a fuel injector. Check # 4 (on passenger side at very back and make sure no leak from your heater hose leaking onto the COP. Transmission does not cause a skip/miss.
