Question:

99 old style Jetta speedometer problem

My speedometer/tach only work intermittently. The rest of the cluster works. It seems to work more frequently when it's damp out. Any thoughts?

  1. Hi!

    This is  common problem to jettas and golfs etc....

    the cluster muste be replaced.

    A used part is ok but a new cluster from the dealership is recommended.

  2. Could be a speed sensor. Not sure specifically about the Jetta but they're usually on one or both of the rear wheels.
