99 olds cutlass keyless entry...

Question

I just bought the car used and it only came with one key, it has power locks and when I start the car and the lights on the dash come on, their is a light that says theft system... I just want to know how I can find out if the car at one point had a remote for keyless entry and maybe got lost or something from the previous owner, thanks in advance to all answers!

i would go to a dealer they could tell if it did and get you the code and the remote for it

You can call any GM dealers parts dept and give them the last eight numbers of your VIN.They will tell you if your cutlass came from the factory with keyless entry.If your cutlass has keyless entry please go to this site to program your remotes.Best of luck.   http://programyourremote.com/
