9th June: Resesistant Materials Exam (GCSE)?

Hi, i'm doing the resistant materials paper 4 on 9th of june, i was wondering if anyone can tell me what i need to revise, (apparently something about drills?) as well as some good websites i can use to revise.

also how long is the exam?

  1. I'm only guessing but in the last paper there wasn't anything on processes was there, so thats what I'm going to go over and of course the drill stuff.


  2. On the second paper on the 9th, there are 10 marks for aswering questions about corded and cordless drills, such as the features, materials, components used, and what drills are used for.

    ..also if u go on the OCR website or google and type in OCR 1956 help, it helps on what general things to revise for.

    I'm not really sure what there is for the rest of it, but im hoping that its easier than the first paper!!!

  3. It really depends on what your topic is. You should have got and 'prep sheet'. My exam was about 'outdoor picnic' furniture - therefore I needed to revise, metals, woods and for some reason 'gears'. You could use GCSE Bitesize or if you have a SamLearning account.

    Res. Mat. exams tend to be 2hours long.

    I only had to sit one exam. And I am doing the full course.
