  1. you are substituting n for all the above numbers

    312 + (-5) which means 312 minus 5

    5.75+ (-5) which means 5.75 minus 5

    -7/12 +(-5) which means: -7 divided by 12 minus 5

7 2/5 + (-5) you would have to first turn the fraction into an improper fraction, then put five over one and add across :

    19/5 + 5/1 =

  2. all you do is put the value of n into the equation, and subtract 5. If you REALLY don't want to know the answers, then DON'T scroll down...

    307

    0.75

    -67/12

    -62/5

  3. 312+(-5)

    5.75+(-5)

    -7/12+(-5)

    -7 2/5+(-5)

    PS: " +(-5) " just means minus 5

    So basically:

    312-5

    5.75-5

    -7/12-5

    -7 2/5-5
