  2. So you want it to be a tea party but more young and not so fancy? Are you going to have tea cups etc.. ?

When I think of a tea party I think of a pretty table set up with a lace table cover and beautiful flowers in vases. I see one of those cupcakes towers with cupscakes or other yummy sweets like pettie fours or cookies... I also see tea cups

I am just wondering if this is what you would like for her party? You could use bright vibrant colors this would make it more young and more summery.

I think for the tables you should use bright colors and if you want to make it classy and can do this why don't you use real china and real tea cups if you have them. You can also rent china but I am not sure the price on that. I think you should have place cards for where your friends will sit. I also think you should leave a favor on each of the girls plates or chairs maybe in a box tied with a ribbion that matches the table. I think you should hang chinese lanterns in the trees or from the porch etc..You can decorate the talbe with flowers in vases and maybe you could have some pictures of you through out the years in frames on the talbe that would look cute.

I will still keep thinking about it

Have you even seen this site

    www.partyspot.com

it has some amazing decorating ideas on it you might want to check it out

  3. For decorations you can get some flowers in your color scheme along with some floral foam and put the foam in a tea cup and put the flowers in a tea cup in the center of each table, or do the same, but with a teapot.  This way it follows your theme, but you have your flowers in a teacup or teapot and it looks really cute!  You can also put the saucers under the teacups.  You can put the flower filled tea cups at the tables and then the flower filled teapot at the bigger tables where you have the food, drinks, etc.  If you have a main table holding those things.  Everyone will get a kick out of it being you don't normally see those things.  You can go to the dollar store or goodwill store and get teacups very inexpensively and go to the crafts store for the floral foam and make sure to cut the flowers very low to just make it so they're floating in the tea cups or the teapot.

You can also give away the flower filled tea cups at the end of the party as the favors to your guests.

For food, have what YOU like! Whatever your favorite food is, go for it.  It's your party, it's your Birthday, you should serve what you like.  Whether it's sandwiches, or even small pizzas, it's your day, serve and eat what YOU like!  I know it's a tea party that you're having, but there's no sense in serving things you don't like just to follow a theme. have foods YOU like and have fun!

For the invites you can write:

It's My Birthday Tea Party without the Tea!

Come and have an afternoon of fun with me!

Food, friends, games, and so much more!

I promise, we won't miss the tea,  I have so many other drinks to pour!

So, please join me in celebrating this special day

We'll have eat, drink, and play our way!

    Or,

It's My Birthday Tea-less Tea Party!!

Yep, it's Not a joke! You read it right!

It's going to be a special sight!

We'll have lots of food, games, and friends.

And we'll party until the day comes to an end

We won't miss having the tea at all!

Cause we have each other y'all!!

For decorations, I would go with white cloth tablecloths, and pink cloth napkins, or whatever your favorite color is.  I picture lots of floraly in reds and pinks when I think of a tea party, with desserts served in tiered dishes, etc.  You can also layer the tablecloths, whatever your accent color is, put that color under the white tablecloth and have it show through, and then put the white on top of it.  Then have that color be the accent around the party.

For decorations, aside from the flowers in the teacups and teapots, there's not much else I would do.  I would keep it simple and classy like a tea party.  You could use the same colored flowers at the entrance of the party and have them around the entrance like a vine, and put them around the entrance,  you can also scatter them around the party and have some flower petals scattered on the tables, etc.

You can also put up some balloons and streamers in the colors of white and whatever your accent colors are.  Cluster them in the corners of the party.

I hope some of these ideas help and that you have a great party and a very Happy Birthday!

  4. Its been so long since i had a tea party, and i thing the last one was imaginary, (i was four or five) but here goes.

At my tea party, i had

    1. finger sandwhichs made with shredded cucumbers and cream cheese spread, on sourdough bread,

    2. tea with cream But you could try orange cream sodas from Jones Soda (sooo good, it taste like Italian Ice Cream Soda)

    3. Polite conversation about current events relevent to our time (the change of snuffualogus from big birds imaginary friend to a real character on seamee street was a big change for me to deal with. And the current polictical regime of Bush sr. becoming president after ragen was just too much)

    4.  Music. I liked mozart, because that was what i could reach from the music cabinet, but other music was nice too.

    5. Games. we loved monopoly, but it takes to long, and scrabble, which my parents let me cheat at because i was so little, but if its out doors, and you can find a set, croquet, its fun and everyone would love to try it at least once, And that's what they played in Alice and Wonderland. Also red rover. Because even though you're 15, its still a fun game.

    6. The idea about the cake tower, (or cupcake tower) is genious. Different flavors wouldn't be too hard, and its portion controlled. you could also try those peanut butter cookies with hersay kisses in the center.

I don't know it that helps or not, but i hope it does. (And to answer your question 6, was the only imaginary thing. I was pretty underwatched as a kid, so i got into a lot of things including t.v.)
