  1. My absolute first suggestion would be to check within your local homeschooling network.  Most groups have a listing of homeschool family owned businesses.  I know in our area, these businesses are very very likely to employ homeschoolers.  Ex. around here are the local CiCi's Pizza franchises.  They are run by a homeschooling family and many of their employees are homeschoolers.  Many of your local homeschool organizations will also allow you to place an ad on their e-newsletters, that identifies the skills you bring to the table .

Happy job hunting and don't let your schoolwork slide.

  2. CHICK-fil-A hires at 14. i know this because i used to work there.

  3. Why wouldn't they hire you?      You are studying and learning just like any other kids.

  4. If you are old enough to get a work permit then where you are schooled will not make any difference.  You can still get a work permit, just call the school district.

The thing that might stop you is your age, even in states where 15 year olds are allowed to work, many employers don't want to hire you until you can drive yourself to work.

  5. No one will care whether you are homeschooled or go to a regular school. Just make sure that you don't work too many hours. At your age, your education is more important than money, but it's great that you can get experience. If I were you, I would look further afield than a crappy fast food job. You are able to work at any time of the day, not being restricted to after school hours. Find something that will look good on your resume and will lead to promotions or make you more employable when you want to change jobs. Office skills are useful in a variety of areas. Fast food experience isn't useful for much other than retail. Believe me, you won't want to stay in retail for your whole life! If you have some idea what you want to do "when you grow up," then go and work in that area. For example, if you want to be a chef, go and work in a butcher, where you'll learn about the different cuts of meat and how to cook them properly.

  6. Well in Texas you are to young to acquire a job, why don't you ask the neighborhood families if they need babysitting, their lawns mowed, washing their cars, watering their plants when they are out or picking up their mail I mean there has to be something you can do I started babysitting when I was 13 and I still do it its worth it trust me......

  7. Actually, in Texas I know a few places 15 yearolds can get a job.

Try Grocery stores like Krogers, Carnival and maybe Albertsons.

    Or try baby sitting. :]
