  1. Henry Cejudo won the gold medal for the 55kg weight class for freestyle wrestling.  55kg which is 121 lbs is the lightest weight class in internation competition.  He wrestled in high school and the lightest weight class in high school is 103 lbs, then the next level is 119.  He did not go to college and wrestle deciding to train for the olympics.  In college the lightest weight class is 125 lbs.  Since you only wrestle in your weight class, you will that when 2 small guys wrestle each other, there tends to be more action than the bigger guys.

Henry is an immigrant from Mexico.  Being 21 years old is very young to succeed at this level, so I hope that he continues his success and has a great career in international competition.

what are you trying to ask?

  3. Yes, he won.  Good Story behind it.
