  1. Probably 4-5 days.

If you're doing 80 the whole way, I can almost guarantee you'll get a ticket or two.

  2. where in tn to where in ca?

  3. Not enough information to give you an exact answer. You would have to drive faster than 80 mph to average 80 mph because you will be stopping for gas and restroom and to eat. Even if you do all that at one stop it slows you down. You don't say where in TN you're starting from and where in CA you're going, so I plugged in Memphis and Los Angeles into Mapquest and came up with 1795 miles and 25.5 hours.

  4. About 12 to 14 hours...Trying to keep a specific speed is a sure fire way to get a ticket or be in a mishap...I took 4 days to go from Atlanta to the CA coast, daytime travel only, about 12 hours/day driving, a few construction zones, no accident sites, very little bad weather, late Aug, early Sep.
