My daughter just woke up from her nap, when she went down she was a little fussier than normal.

When I picked her up she was burning up.

Her temperature is 102.1, I gave her tylonel.

Should I do anything else?

  1. I would just keep an eye on it for now and continue the tylenol. In the morning give the doctor a call to make an appointment if she is still running a fever.

My son is 5 months and ran a mystery fever for 1 day a couple weeks ago. When I called the doctor they didn't seem concerned at all unless there were other symptoms or the fever wasn't coming down.

  2. 102 is on the high side, for a 4 month old... At the very least, call her pediatrician. You don't want to mess around, when it comes to little ones, and mysterious fevers.

  3. I wouldn't rush off to a doctor just yet. The tylenol should bring down the fever. If not just give her a room temp bath. If the fever lasts more then a couple of days then it would be time for a doctor. Doctors can't do anything for fever more than what we can do.

  4. Every person alive has a temperature, your daughter woke up with a fever. Babies temperatures usually go up when they nap.  You should have her up for at least a half hour before taking her temperature, then if it's high take her to the er.

  5. do not overdose with the tylenol, if she is under 24lbs give only 0.6 ml of the liquid tylenol. give the baby cold juice or water. don't overdress her and maybe try washing her face with a cold wet washcloth. my son just had a fever from his immunizations and i did this. good luck

  6. I would take here to a doctor just to be sure that it is nothing and then they will also be able to confirm if its a fever or not.

  7. When you have a child that young, it is always best to call a doctor. Because of their age, illnesses can be very unpredictable and the child is too young to say whether it has any pains or not.

I'm not saying that it is a major issue, but better safe then sorry.

I hope she gets better soon.

  8. i don't think it was a great idea to give a 4 month year old Tylenol! but u should call the doctor and set up an appointment!!! the doctor knows best!

  9. take her to the nearest child hospital or any hospital cuz any baby that is over 101. can be dangerous to them. that what they tell me and mine is 8 months old
