  1. Rory Dodd sang the male vocal on Total Eclipse.  Dodd has worked with Steinman on most of his recordings, including Meat Loaf's classic "Bat Out Of h**l", and also on Ellen Foley's albums (Ellen was the featured female vocalist on "Bat Out Of h**l").  Why Rory Dodd has never recorded a solo album is beyond me, he's a genuinely talented singer.

  2. Rory Dodd (b. Port Dover, Ontario, Canada) is a Canadian rock vocalist who has performed many songs written by Jim Steinman. He is probably best known for singing the "Turn around, bright eyes" lyrics on Bonnie Tyler's version of "Total Eclipse of the Heart."

  3. Rory Dodd according to Songfacts.com.

  4. Probably one of Jim Steinman's sidekicks.  (Going to look it up)

The distinctive "Turn Around, Bright Eyes" backup vocals were sung by the male vocalist Rory Dodd, who has appeared on many of Jim Steinman's productions and sang backup on albums by Carly Simon, Barry Manilow, Barbra Streisand, Lou Reed and many others.
