The Rossoneri manager hopeful of positive result against the Turin giants, and hails the Old Lady team spirit.
A.C Milan manager, Massimiliano Allegri, has denied reports that the Italian Champions are in a state of crisis.
Several football pundits recently stated that Milan are in a period of turmoil following the defeat to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029’s sending off against Walter Mazzarri’s side has sparked talks
of a crisis at San Siro.
However, Allegri is looking forward to the first of the two-legged tie of the Coppa Italia against Juventus at San Siro on Wednesday, 08 February 2012. The manager has urged his players to concentrate on their performances and
forget what people are saying. The former Cagliari boss insists that every team witnesses bad results, and Juventus were also held to a draw in their respective league game.
While talking to the reporters, Massimiliano Allegri said,
“Right now we have to stay calm and focused on what we do in the field. This is not a moment of crisis. There have been some bad results but also on Sunday Juventus drew at home and we are therefore still in line.”
The 44-year-old is wary of the threat posed by Antonio Conte’ side, and has hailed the winning mentality of the Old Lady. He insists that the Turin giants have performed really well to remain unbeaten throughout the season.
“The first thing that catches the eye is that they are team with character, all the players show this with their availability and nature and this competition is their first chance to win something important. If after 20 rounds
they have not lost then it means that Juventus have excellent quality.”
Juventus currently remain atop of the league standings with 45 points from 21 matches played thus far. Milan are only one point behind them on the second spot albeit having played an extra game.
The Champions will be without the services of influential striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, for this game. Maxi Lopez is likely to be handed his first start of his Milan career.
