Italian Champions, A.C Milan, have reportedly held talks with Belgian club, Standard Liege, over the transfer of their midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Axel-Witsel-c7029, in the summer transfer window.
Milan have been linked with a host of names to replace the club legend, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andrea-Pirlo-c5702, who left the club for Juventus recently. The Rossoneri have previously been linked to Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik, but the club President Silvio Berlusconi last week
revealed that Milan will not poach the rival club’s prized star.
Witsel, who had a fantastic 2010/11 season with the Belgian side, is looking to move to a bigger club, which can offer him UEFA Champions League football on regular basis.

The Belgian international scored 10 goals in 34 appearances this season and contributed with several assists too.
Reports suggest that both club’s officials are locked in talks and an agreement will be reached in the near future.
Cassano has no intentions of leaving Milan
The agent of A.C Milan striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Cassano-c6302, has revealed that his client will remain at the San Siro despite interest from Napoli.
Reports in the media suggested that Cassano wants to play regular first-team football and is seeking a move away from the Italian Champions. The agent of the striker is aware of the interest from the Azzurri but he revealed that his client is not in the
transfer market.
Talking to the reporters, the agent said, "Napoli is a nice place, but Cassano is not on the market, this is the truth. Cassano joined Milan in the 2011 January transfer window and has made 18 appearances for the Rossoneri since then, while also scoring four goals.
