A.C Milan legend, Paolo Maldini, has revealed that he will consider a return to the club in coaching capacity.
Maldini retired from professional football in 2009, after spending more than two decades with Milan. The 43-year-old was offered a coaching role at the time of his retirement but he rejected it by claiming that he was not interested

The former Italian international was a legendary figure at the San Siro and the club has immense respect for him. Maldini made more than 900 appearances for the Rossoneri and was unarguably the best defender of his time. The defender
was a true leader and has contributed immensely for the Italian Champions. Maldini was part of the winning squad in seven league titles, five European competitions and a Coppa Italia title too. He spent his entire playing career at the San Siro and the club
retired his shirt number in tribute to his services. The number can only be worn by either of his two sons if they become footballers.
The Rossoneri legend was offered a coaching role at Stamford Bridge by his former manager, Carlo Ancelotti, but he rejected it by claiming that his services will remain for Milan only.
Now, Maldini has agreed to join the coaching staff at San Siro but admitted that he is waiting for the right opportunity to arise. He added that football is his passion and Milan is his destiny and the club will always remain in
his heart.
Talking to the reporters Maldini said, "For now I am working as a father, a difficult job, but if I receive an interesting offer then I could return to working in football. Football is my passion, my life and I know Milan like
the back of my hand.

Widespread reports suggest that Milan are looking to offer Maldini a director role at the club.
