Tevez has been heavily linked with a move to the Italian Champions for the past two months, but after failing to reach on an agreement, they have given up. The Argentinean was tipped to join Milan as a replacement for Alexandre
Pato, who was linked with a move to Paris Saint Germain.
The Brazilian decided against joining the French side which forced Milan to give up on move for the Manchester City striker.
Galliani flew to Manchester to hold talks with the Eastland officials on Thursday, but the two clubs could not agree on a deal. The chief is delighted with Pato’s stay, and he is hoping that the striker does well at the club.
While talking to Sky Italia, Galliani said,
“Pato decided to stay, so we have given up on Tevez. He won’t be coming to Milan. “The two transfer operations were linked and all of them had various clauses. I believe in fate and remember that when Gianluca Vialli said no, then
we brought in Marco Van Basten. If Pato wants to remain, then we hope he will do well with Milan.”
Pato had a falling out with Massimiliano Allegri recently, and wanted a move away from San Siro.
The Rossoneri vice-president, is happy with the strike options available at his disposal, and is hoping to have Antonio Cassano back soon. Cassano recently underwent a heart operation and is expected back in approximately three
months.
