A.C Milan Vice-President, Adriano Galliani, has once again revealed that the Italian Champions will only sign http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 Tevez in January transfer window.
Tevez has been linked with a move to San Siro for the past few weeks now, and despite agreeing personal terms with the Rossoneri, Manchester City’s transfer demands remain a stumbling block in his move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926. Milan are willing
to sign the striker on a free loan with an option to buy at the end of the 2011/12 season. However, City are adamant on selling the striker on an upfront payment.
French giants, Paris Saint Germain, had also entered the race to sign the former Manchester United star, but after hearing nothing from him, they have backed off from a deal.
Galliani has once again rejected talks of signing Catania striker, Maxi Lopez, and insisted that they will sign Tevez or nobody. The Vice-President confirmed that their negotiations with the City officials have failed to produce
a decisive outcome, but they will still wait until the last day of the winter transfer window to sign the striker.
The 67-year-old admitted that his club is looking to sign a world-class player, and the player himself has expressed his desire to join the Italian Champions.
While talking to the reporters, Galliani said:
“We’re just waiting for the negotiations for Tevez to unblock. We’ve decided to forget about other options, including Maxi Lopez of Catania, because we only want Tevez. He has said that he wants to leave City and he’ll only do
so to come here to Milan. If a player arrives then it will be a top world class one, otherwise we won’t be making any signings.”
It remains doubtful if Milan will be able to sign the former West Ham United star in the January transfer window. But, if they are eventually successful in his chase, Tevez will be a huge addition to the Rossoneri attack. The striker
has proved his class with whichever club he has played for, but huge question marks remain over his attitude. His poor attitude in the dressing room led to his departure from Old Trafford, and despite finishing as the leading goal-scorer in the Premier League
last season, he has become out of favour in the ongoing campaign.
The striker refused to come off the bench in a UEFA Champions League game against Bayern Munich recently, and was handed with a ban and a heavy fine. The Argentine has not featured for the Premier League leaders since then.
Despite a plethora of strike options available at Massimiliano Allegri’s disposal, the 27-year-old will be a definite starter in the Rossoneri starting line-up. His partnership with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robinho-c31382 could make Milan
the best attack force in the world.
If the Italian Champions are successful in his chase, they will be in with a huge chance of winning the treble for the first time in their history.
Tevez has scored 52 goals from 84 appearances for Manchester City thus far.
