  1. The frost is a sign it may be low on freon (R-22).

Also the coils may be dirty , and  blocking air flow --- clean coils

Blower fan motor not moving air at proper speed.

  2. when frost forms on the coils like that you need freon.call a service man to fill.

  3. mine did the same thing and the freon is low they will have to come and refill the freon and defrost your pipes for you it cost me around $100. for them to do that for me.good luck!

  4. Sounds like you need freon. A licensced service man is your only route to take in this situation. You have to have special tools to check the level and to fill it.

  5. I had the same problem a few days ago. What I did was shut off the A/C for about an hour to let it essentially "thaw"... The cold air came out much better after turning it on. Make sure it is also not leaning inside, or outside too far.. the uneven-ness of it could cause water to run off incorrectly and cause freezing where it's not necessary.

Also, if it is cooler outside, the air may not blow as cold as you'd like as well.

  6. you could have i pin leak in the system; or a blockage in the system I E the coil  call a contractor the voltage on a out side unite is 220 v and could knock u on ur butt or kill you

  7. Your unit is very low on freon or the filter drier in this line is plugged. . The small pipe is the liquid line that carries high pressure refrigerant to the evap coil. This line should be warm or hot. Shut it off and call for a serviceman before the compressor burns out. Do not keep the unit running as the cost for repair will climb.

  8. when the ac forms ice like that it more then likely means the blower motor is either not working or is working slower then it should. there also could be a blockage in the air venting system causing the air not to blow out normal.
