2001 Ford Expedition A/C blows hot air and makes a clicking noise when turned on?

I have a '01 Ford Expedition. When you turn the a/c on it doesn't blow in the front and makes a clicking noise, but the rear vents for backseat passengers works. I'm not too familiar w/ dual vents. Do these type of cars have 2 different a/c systems or compressors?

  1. Im sorry to say this but I think you have two seperate problems with your a/c system. The reason why you dont have any a/c(or heat probably) is because there is something wrong with your doors inside the dashboard not directing the air in the right location. And the reason why you have a clicking noise when you turn on your a/c is probabaly because the compressor clutch is about to go and I would probably replacre it as soon as possible before it breaks and possible damages something else in its area such as your alternator, power steering pump, or water pump.

  2. no they dont have two ac systems. i would get your truck into a shop and have a professional check the ac system out and get an estimate for repairing it
