Hey everyone I was wondering since the Cards just got back Chris Carpenter and soon Adam Wainwright and Mark Mulder in August, is it possible for them to make a move to 2nd place and even although its unlikley 1st?

  1. As a Cubs fan I know never to count the Cardinals out until they are mathematically out of it.  It's very possible for them to move to 2nd and even 1st with how close the NL Central race is.  The Cubs play the Brewers 6 more times and the Cardinals 9 more times.  Unfortunately the Brewers and Cardinals only play 2 more games against each other.  It will be interesting to see what happens these last 2 months.

EDIT:  How I get a thumbs down for this answer I will never know.  Are your lives that dull that you need to do this to make you feel better about yourself?

  2. yes! they will catch brewers but not cubs!

  3. If you compare the September Schedules of the Cards, Cubs and Brewers. The Cards have the easiest schedule in september and could very easily finish in first or take the wild card.

Never count out the Cards! Everyone did in 2006 and look what happened!!!

  4. They are already in 2nd. Don't count on Mulder contributing he's TOAST. But yes the additions of Carpenter and Wainwright will be a big boost.

They take the wild card if not the entire division. =)

  5. BOOOOOOOO

    CARDINALS SUCK

  6. Last time I checked, it was the beginning of August. The Cardinals are so NOT the team you want to count out with 2 months to go. I think they will win it when the Cubs do their swan dive thing. The Brewers might get the wild card. It will be nice to see Prince Albert in another World Series.
