I am a fan of Meisner and have respect for this casting director. Problem is, I've auditioned for her a few times and I don't want her to think I'm just trying to get points by signing up for a her class. She is the only one in my area who offers the Meisner technique. Is it appropriate to take classes from a casting director that you've auditioned for?

  1. There is absolutely no problem with you taking her course.  Paying the dough, showing up for class and doing the work are all the proof she'll need of your motivations.  The bonus points and additional exposure to your abilities are just gravy.

  2. i think it would be fine, but don't be too friendly with her, just treat her like a normal teacher and don't pretend you know her more than you actually do!
