Question:

A Dance Question....?

I just went to a dance wear store and I got ballet slippers. In my dance studio they want split sole but I'm pretty sure they gave me a full sole. Do you think that it will make any difference, because I'm worried they'll get mad? The style is Capezio Teknik Ballet 200 NPK . And inside the shoe says: Leather Upper & Sole .

These are my slippers:

  1. well sometimes the studio requests that dancers go get specific shoes for a reason. Im sure you can go back to the store you bought them from and excahnge them if they are not worn and if you still have the recipet.

  2. Yuo Its a full sole. Just go Back and Change them. =)

  3. If your dance studio requires a split sole ballet slipper then that's what you should wear. My studio also requires split sole and they are very strict when it comes to dress requirements for ballet.

Just go and return the shoes you bought and exchange them. There should be no problem. It's best to do that rather than risk getting scolded in class for not having the right shoes.

These are what the bottom of split soles look like:

Make sure you explain clearly to the person at the dance store what kind of shoes you need. That way accidents like this won't happen!

    Hope I could help! :)

  4. Yes you have a full sole shoe. You should really get what your dance studio wants. Although if you are a first time dancer full sole would be better to help you build that muscle to point.

They asked for split sole shoe because it shows how well your arch is and how well you point and flex your foot.  I like split sole shoes because they are more comfortable for me and really conform to your feet.

  5. You got full soles, and they probably will get mad at you, but if you go back to the store and explain they will get you split soles.
