A FEW QUESTIONS ABOUT ACTIVE FIRST.

What can you tell me about Active First?

I went to the Guard site and read about it, but what jobs qualify for it?

If deployed, can you still continue your education on line?

Is Active First a good deal?

Is any one currently involved in or done Active First?

If so, how is/was it?

  1. active first is a 2 part contract. just as you hear in the title, you begin the army as active duty. if you like active duty, then you need to do some leg work to stay that way, and thats it, you get a new contract and everything is good.

For active first, once you are done being active first, after 1 yr you become a guardsman and now have to complete your obligations to your national guard contract. and continue working the part time thing.

If you want a part time job with benefits that dont get put on hold if you deploy, just join the reserves. since they are federally funded, the money never stops and the black and white is a lot easier to read.

  2. Well there is a lot of reservist deployed right now. I mean a lot.

Active First, the title says is all.

When deployed for "war" education is put on hold.
